Final Post HET 324
So finally this is the last entry after such a good, fun and enjoyable experience during semester. I only could wish it could be little bit longer. But in other words all good things must come to an end.
I overall enjoyed the entire semester, not just learning new experiences. But also making couple of new friends and meeting new people. This blog I can remember I used back during my days in Tafe for the purpose of mainly research and development.
But after learning from this subject the blog is not only a tool for just research purpose but also a tool where you share your ideas to the public and let them know what they think. Importantly the blog has been good assistant to me throughout the semester to write my ideas, plan, and research.
And, finally thank you Dean for teaching the subject and it was great and enjoyable.
Ninja assassin lego trailer (fanmade)
This video is a fan made of a 2009 action, martial-arts film Ninja Assassin. I found this somewhat speechless for someone to copy the original trailer and redo them in lego stop motion. Another reason I found this to be unbelievable is the way the creator applies the shooting stars and explosion effect perfectly to the trailer and also showing a good editing and timing technique in it.
I remember I did Lego stop-motion, a while back in Secondary School, but it was not as perfect as compare to this. This one really looked very similar to its original (below) see what you think?
presentation result
Well somehow never expected mine being among the top. But I was very happy and pleased with the efforts and all the hard work I have put in to make the project successful and enjoyable for the audience to watch.
Criticisms:
Pretty much in almost any perfect or good piece of work there is often still those minor, little details that could have been improved. Although,in my work there is just those minor adjustments that was suggested by my fellow peers to be modified into making the finished product much better. The criticism I take were taken seriously into my account and it really had helped me a lot in improving my work before the final submission. I was also overall very happy to have take those criticism abroad and produced a much better version, comparing to the previous.
Major assignment done
So, finally my major assignment is completed. After long hours and efforts it has finally come together. Now for the presentation tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes right. Fingers cross!
Final Title
So I finally have come up with the title:
The title name basically came to my head whilst doing the project. I basically just sat there thinking of a photographic term that can be applied as the title.
The font I used is a basic stock adobe font called OCR A Extended along with making adjustments in the height, width and overall text size.
Storyboard
Frame 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Inspired from The Thomas Crown Affair intro, see previous post for the intro. Here i’ll have images that’s related to the show’s theme. Example of these images are like riot scenery, protests, war etc.

Frame 2.
This frame is where the title name will appear. Though there’s a likely chance I may change the background picture , just in case if it doesn’t quite match the theme.
——————————————————————————————
As each frames goes, the images will appear on the screen with effects ranging from camera blur, focus. The image colours will be in black and white due to the black background so that it will fit in well with the background colour. And the images will definitely be proportionally scaled down so that it will provide spaces for the texts.
Assessment 2 updates
I already already have started the base of the project on the 14th Oct. The title has also been decided and also the music ( link: http://incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/index.html?keywords=neo+western&Search=Search).
So far things are looking good, except for last Friday where a power outage lost me the continued progress of the project. Luckily the base file and sub folders didn’t go corrupt and still works
Good editing tech
Found this video, whilst surfing around YouTube. What I like the idea out of its the editing technique of mashing up each of individual videos from different matches and making it into one music video compilation. The music also matches perfectly since it must be upbeat, funky, loud and also eye catching.
Another thing I found it interesting to watch is how the author of this video matches each of the track beats perfectly to the clip, which has given me an idea for my chosen the soundtrack to match its beats to my project.
